Woman walking down road with gold and green trees - "My Daily Walk" and 4 More Authentic Poems About the World

POEMS BY DHARA VIJAYAKUMAR: Herself, My Daily Walk and more

Herself

It is about her. Herself!
A world away, on a different shelf.
As bold and beautiful as she looks,
nervousness quietly sits on the hooks.
Still the fire in her stays gently on,
so many thoughts she wants to ponder upon.
She daydreams of travelling far and long,
to reach the heart of Mother Nature’s song.

It is about her. Herself!
A world away, on a different shelf.
Charmingly listens to everyone around,
while her actions speak without a sound.
She keeps her circle small and true,
only a few know her through and through.
Ups and downs drift in like everyday tides—
life has shaped her in all the right strides.

It is about her. Herself!
A world away, on a different shelf.
Cherishing sunsets amid her busy-ness,
the moonlight brings her gentle calmness.
She lovingly slips into sleep so deep,
cuddling her dreams she wants to keep.
Waiting to rise with the quiet dawn…

It is about her. Herself—
a quiet force the world can’t see.
Moving softly, yet rising steadily.
Holding her calm with quiet might,
learning to choose her own light.
Still unfolding, still becoming anew—
a gentle strength, deep and true.

My Daily Walk

Thoughts grab hold of my mind as I take my daily walk.
The gentle breeze and I could get our hands in a loose lock!
Engrossed in scenes I build within my world,
I come back to reality as the leaves swirl.
The busy people moving at their own pace and modes,
the cuckoo’s call trying to reach the roads.
Aroma from bakers and tea-stallers rise high,
for which my appetite lets out a sigh!

Thoughts grab hold of my mind as I take my daily walk.
The gentle breeze and I could get our hands in a loose lock!
Passing through the route, some familiar strangers every day,
and some out for once or finding a new way.
The canopy of trees brings in those wanted vibes—
a glance at nature’s shades has always felt nice.
To begin a day with such a refreshing start
is the morning’s energy for my heart.

Thoughts grab hold of my mind as I take my daily walk.
The gentle breeze and I could get our hands in a loose lock!

Should I Say This or Should I Not?

Should I say this or should I not?
Then I wondered, “You know what?”
If we were all to be alike,
robots are what we would be like.
Alas! We are all humans—
different from other daughters and sons.

Should I say this or should I not?
Then I wondered, “You know what?”
Give and take is unbalanced,
and so are the minds that are weakly stanced.
We wish for this and strive for that,
and sometimes things go far apart.

Should I say this or should I not?
Then I wondered, “You know what?”
We grow, we sow and move with the flow,
the world happens to work that way, so.
We almost forget how much we know,
’cause we are taught less yes than no.

Should I say this or should I not?
Then I wondered “You know what?”

White Rose

Single white rose against grass background - "My Daily Walk" and 4 More Authentic Poems About the World

She is to everyone very dear…
to one’s Heart, always near.
Proud of her Artistry,
blushing with Simplicity.
In harmony with the Laws of Nature,
thoughtfully, her alignments further.
Carrying the vibes that are much-needed,
in her, giving is what’s seeded.

She is to everyone very dear…
to one’s Heart, always near.
With snow-white and silky petalates,
classical peace she exuberates.
Charmingly named a White Rose,
wanna go on with her for a Pose.
A memory that’ll last Forever—
one that’ll be forgotten never.

She is to everyone very dear…
to one’s Heart, always near.

Gold and Green

Gold and green leaves on tree - "My Daily Walk" and 4 More Authentic Poems About the World

The shades of Gold and Green—
to look at, they are so pristine.
Reverencing the Sunlight shimmering on them,
flowing with the breeze to glitter like gems.
Mother Nature’s gift that comes and leaves,
as the branches wait for the newbies.

The shades of Gold and Green—
to look at, they are so pristine.
In a short span, so much they teach,
we have taken their shades to preach.
Be what may the weather,
trees stand tall and tougher.

The shades of Gold and Green—
to look at, they are so pristine.
