Person floating next to purple flowers in boat

POEMS BY MATT BUONOCORE: Allowance, Desire, The Gentle Way and more

Allowance

Allowance is the answer,
and judgment is your cancer.
To be an open channel,
you must first learn to surrender.

Desire

What do you desire,
do you lust for greater wealth?
What is it that you desire,
would you ask your God for help?
Bring me all your failings,
and I will free you from them all.
Surrender all your reason,
and be free once and for all.

Safe Harbour

Carry on and
let the wave of truth carry you.
Carry on and
let the current guide you.
You know the way,
it is always inside you.
Your heart has always
been the map,
and it’ll lead you to safe harbour.

Flow

Some things words can’t describe,
and love is one of them.
The insatiable calling forward,
the beckoning of the soul.
Words can never begin to describe,
where thoughts could never go.
Lose yourself and serve the world,
get lost within the flow.

Silence

I’ll find you in the silence,
in the room without its light.
I’ll find you when you’ve fallen down,
with eyes still wide with fright.
I’ll find you when you hit a wall,
and all progress seems to stall.
I’ll find you in the ever still,
when there’s nowhere else to go.
I’ll find you when you recognize
that silence is your home.

The Gentle Way

How gentle it is to follow the way,
the way of the heart.
How easy it is to be set free
from the chains of the ego,
when we surrender to flow.
How vast the ocean can be,
when we lose ourselves in love.
Let all your cares and worries drift,
let love become your boat.
