What is love?

Isn’t it a fleeting moment of appreciation?

A gentle presence that breathes in beauty?

I think of love as a catalyst for creation

An anchor for empathy

An entangled thread of curiosity

Love is what has been long sought after

Searched for between words

Held onto within an embrace

Felt between a gaze

Who are we,

But a living example of love in all forms?

Love in the depths of shadow

Love in the depths of service

Pulling from strings

Of a heartbeat

I search for love

And reach for its soft touch

And maybe I’ll finally see

Love is not to be reached for

But found within me
