The Internet impacts our lives in many ways. One aspect of our lives that it has a big impact on is our human rights. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights for example provides for protection against defamation, right to participate in government, protection of intellectual property and freedom of conscience and religion. The Internet plays a role in each of these rights and more, which is why it’s so important to not take the Internet for granted and stand up for our Internet rights, which governments around the world are trying to take away from us.
