Lift it Up

I dreamed I saw the world from high above
Aboard a ship of stars on a cosmic sea of love
No pain, no suffering, in this heavenly space
A sense of calm, glory and grace

In this state of bliss it’s simply hard to believe
Our world so torn and people down on their knees
Begging for mercy, praying for peace
A distant hope that all the fighting may cease

So lift it up, the world to love
The only way we’re going to save this ship from sinking
Is to lift it up, all of us
Only together, shining everlasting faith in love, in love

I hear the sound of every heartbeat as one
Through the fields of time and every dream that is spun
This inspiration lifts the veil
Within us all, raises the sails

So lift it up, the world to love
The only way we’re going to save this ship from sinking
Is to lift it up, all of us
Only together, shining everlasting faith in love
Lift it up, the world to love
The only way we’re going to save this ship from sinking
Is to lift it up, all of us
Only together, shining everlasting faith in love, in love

Well I believe, that love will prevail
And I believe, our hearts are the chords to an endless song
Of a heavenly dream for peace on Earth, to finally awake in us all
I dreamed I saw the world waking up

Turning of the Tides

Faith is the bird that feels the light
And sings while the dawn is still dark
Fear is the dam that holds us back
From love that’s meant to be free

Let the floodgates break and carry you
Down the river of your heart
There’s an ocean waiting with surrendered arms
To heal what needs relief

Moonlight, turning of the tides
Dream sweet dreams tonight
Sunrise, fire in the sky
A new day burning bright

Only a few will let themselves in
The rest must be pulled away
From the shorelines of safety
But with feet sinking in the sand

You hang on the edge of uncertainty
And trees on the banks go rushing by
Remember the bird that sings before dawn
Love does not wait on time

Winter snow, spring rain
Summer fireflies
Autumn leaves, a lifetime gone by
All in the blink of an eye

Day by day, trying to find our way
Knowing not what lies ahead
In every storm brings a flower of light
That glows from the inside out

A melody fills the air
A song is taking flight
Reach for the stars, sweet harmony
A planet bathed in light

The Call

Three children dancing under waterfall - Poems by Woven Green

Things are on the bright side, my eyes are looking west
Out beneath the canopy of this morning’s sky
On a trip to the jewel point where new life awakes
In a waterfall of clarity pouring through
Find the seed of freedom if it’s just a moment’s grace
Enlighten us with inspiration, wake us into bloom

Underneath the waterfall
Dancing waves of ecstasy
Feel it rush all over you
And the healing will begin
To lay these burdens down
So we may see again

Invitation that was sent here so long ago
In every waking moment it’s calling out to you
Turning on all senses overcome with love
Puts you in another spin and lifts you up
Into this other life we move our souls along
Listen for the call to bring about the dawn

Underneath the waterfall
Dancing waves of ecstasy
Feel it rush all over you
And the healing will begin
To lay these burdens down
So we may see again

In the muse where our spirits shine a great illusion drowns
That cast us out of paradise, proclaimed it can’t be found
Can you hear the cry for healing, oh the cry for hope
Crying out for vision in the valleys of your soul
I wonder what we’re waiting for standing in the dark
Heaven’s here on Earth, my love, for those who turn it on

Underneath the waterfall
Dancing waves of ecstasy
Feel it rush all over you
And the healing will begin
To lay these burdens down
So we may see again

Victorious Smile

You always hit rewind, or you skip ahead,
But the scene doesn’t play out, the way it does in your head.
So you stretch the bow, eyes on the mark,
But you can’t release, you’re so far apart,

From the love that still surrounds you,
Always here to remind you,

It’s OK, that we fall
If that’s what it takes, to see the light in the dark.

Love rides calmly through the storm,
Its arrow shot, a bulls-eye home.

In the deep dank valley, the caverns below,
Stone-cold bottom, there’s still a river that flows,

To the source from where we set out,
Through the course, find that we are

Behind the wheel, wherever it turns,
Our creation, to deny or affirm.

A victorious smile, in the glorious now.
A victorious smile, in the glorious now.
Believe it and know, you were meant to behold,
The glory and wonder, the highs and the lows,
A victorious smile, in the glorious now.
A victorious smile, in the glorious now.
A victorious smile, in the glorious now.

Breaking Free

Lifting my eyes up towards the sun
Breaking free from the spell that I was under
I crawled out of the valley where I’d spent so long
Fighting off the vultures I’d come to own

Great Spirit Move Me, I’m filled up again
Great Spirit do what you will of me

Upon those weary shoulders sat the jailer and the guard
While the thieves came and robbed me of my sight
And I stumbled around so blindly, was cast out in the night
Then buried with my shame with no hope of light

Great Spirit moved me and gave me strength to rise
Put me back up on my feet again

So I set the sails of hope, to give it one more try
For that which held me captive also gave me wings to fly

On a crested peak I stood, as tears came rolling down
In the revelation of beauty everywhere
And the vultures turned to doves, and the jailer laughed out loud
As he lent his hand to help me from the ground

Great Spirit move me, I see you in all things
The same power deep inside of me

Lifting my eyes up towards the sun
Breaking free from the spell that I was under
Breaking free, breaking free, breaking free
