Where The River Runs

I am the water
flowing down the stream
When I hit a rock
I keep going
unbruised, untainted
I adjust to the rocks presence
but once gone
I don’t look back
As I follow my path
I pick up debris
Because I am clean and holy
it stays only for awhile
Then it is gone
and I remain
Resilient

I am the child
pure and innocent
When I fall I cry
a cry of pain
“you made a misstep, but you’re OK”
A child gets back up
and keeps on running
Eventually to walk always
never looking back
never feeling guilt
for that fall

I am the bird
soaring above
Watching the world
and its wonders
Protecting my child
Fleeting from danger
In touch with the seasons
Adjusting to weather
Always watching
Always aware

I am the mirror
watching my thoughts
Paying attention
to what is healthy
what is not
Love and fear
cannot coexist

Acceptance is truth
Love is truth
Presence is truth
Full of clarity
Full of love
Full of truth
Now.

How do you feel?

Rather, how do you do?
I am not my feelings
I am powered
by what I do
Feelings follow
And change
With every
next move

That rush of euphoria
You are being true
to your values
Good feelings, man

That overwhelming despair
Shame, rejection
You are acting
Tainted with bad faith

Do

How do you do?

I guess I’ll find out today
With every new choice
I make

ASK. LISTEN. CHOOSE. LISTEN AGAIN.
~a revolving continuum~

Free One

One I am one
one with humanity
one with the world
one with the animals
one with the wild
one with the universe
one with my soul
one with spirituality
one with myself

Look beneath the soil
that’s been walked upon and bruised
The footprints change the foundation
the more people that walk
the more it becomes distorted

What’s real?
but this very moment
in which you are free
Please know
You are free

Free like a bird
free like the wind
free like the spirit guide
free I am flying
free like a roaring fire
free like a child
Imagine the possibilities
they can all transpire

Connect with the energy
Feel it lift your soul
You are well on your way
This
“I” know

The Art of Being Alone

Lightness, laughing
beautiful distraction
Hugs and embrace
put a smile on my face
Love and kinship
come without a payment
It’s there
always there

In our hearts
In my heart

Darkness fades
even for a moment
You are love
know this and embrace it
Remember you are not alone
we are always with you
we are always with you
we will always stay true

Take a walk
instead of a strong drink
Inhale fresh air
instead of a poison
Call a friend
instead of a heartbreaker

Call on yourself
Find your strength

Darkness fades
even for a moment
You are love
know this and embrace it
Remember you are not alone
we are always with you
we are always with you
we will always stay true

Surround yourself
with those who make you smile
Surround yourself
with the ones who inspire
Erase yourself
from the ones who drain
Erase yourself
from those who cause you pain

Let ‘em go
Let ‘em be

Bring out the best in me
I’ll bring out the best in you
Inspire growth
and lets both shine
Be the best we can be
Individually

Darkness fades
even for a moment
You are love
know this and embrace it
Remember you are not alone
we are always with you
we are always with you
we will always stay true

Tell Me

Forgive and move on
with the help of song
my heart is getting there
and it feel so good
Oh it feels good

I am seeing the light
that used to shine so bright
It’s coming back
slow and steady
some dark nights
but damn, I’m ready

Hold my own
walk with strength
walk with pride
Know my worth
won’t let it slide

I’ll think of you
that will remain
But I will never see you
just quite the same
I’m stronger now
I’ve walked away
I’ll take my love with me
Save it for another day

A long journey
A hard journey
A meaningful journey
With great lessons learned
When someone tells you who they are
Believe them.

Shanti shanti shanti shanti, please go in peace.
