Creative Commons

Creative Commons is an alternative to traditional copyright that allows content creators to keep their rights while permitting certain uses of their works—a “some rights” reserved” license. Creative Commons provides flexibility that allows ideas to grow rather than stagnate with ownership because it invites people to do what they like with the work, including distributing it for their own publications and rewriting it for their own purposes. Read this article for more on why we publish this way.

All text on themindfulword.org and the magazine is available under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License, except in certain circumstances where the copyright holder has reserved the traditional copyright, in which case this is noted in the bio box of the article.

The Mindful Word invites you to reprint, copy, distribute, and alter CC-licensed text as long as you provide a clickable link back to www.themindfulword.org and share-alike. If altering the text from its original form, please make a note in the article that it has been altered.
